Reiki,
"Universal Energy"
Reiki,
pronounced "Lay-Key," is a Japanese spiritual and gentle
healing practice that originated in the mid 1880's, founded by
a Japanese monk, name Mikao Usui. The technique he developed
was called Usui Reiki Ryoho, or the way of Usui. His multi-disciplinary
work in the sacred energy arts evolved as a result of his studies
in Esoteric Buddhism, the Martial Arts, Qi-gong and various other
discipline. The technique is simple and power, but requires commitment
and a never ending thirst for learning and development. The word
Reiki is also used to describe the actual energy that practitioners
work with. This energy is the fuel that drives humans and gives
ultimate structure and purpose in life; it is the energy of everything.
It is possible to either receive Reiki
treatments or to learn
how to use this energy for yourself and others.
Sama'Ra
Kamui Bodhisattva has studied "universal energy" and
its application to the human energy fields for over fifteen years.
His training in spiritual and different forms of hands-on-healing
systems were taught to him by his Elders. His interest in the
Japanese gentle art of hands-on-healing began in the Winter of
2004 as a result of his search for answers to the mysteries in
his life. In March of 2005, he was guided to seek the Usui Reiki "teate." He
was introduced to the Western style, "Usui Shiki Ryoho," the
Takata-Hayashi-Usui Reiki system. During this time, several mystical
experiences left him puzzled and this motivated him to research
deeper into this profound art of natural healing. The teaching
and the practice was a powerful catyalyst because of its simplicity
and philosophy. The system of Reiki found him. On August of 2005,
he completed his master-teacher training. He gained popularity
through word of mouth, and people began seeking his service and
instructions. He could not comprehend as to why certain techniques
were missing from the Western system; he understood the principles
of energy flow and the natural laws that governed Universal Energy.
There was more to the hands-on-healing than what individuals
were instructed to administered. The thirst for answers led him
to seek help from other authorities. He corresponding with different
researcher and practitioiners in the arts. He was led deeper
on the path to unraveling the mystery of the original teaching
of Usui Mikao.
Several
encounters with the spirits of Mrs.Takata and Usui Mikao in March
of 2005, April and August of 2007, and June of 2008 encouraged
him to continue his studies; which led to the Usui Reiki Ryoho.
A friend had referred him to Frans and Bronwen Steine in April
of 2007. They are the founder of the International House of Reiki,
and best selling authors of the Japanese Art of Reiki and the
Reikisource Book. Their research brought clarity and brought
him closer to other authorities in Japan. It is a never ending
journey. Sama'Ra wishes to acknoweledge that like Mikao Usui's
philosophy, vibrant health first begin with empowering oneself,
mastering the basics, and re-remembering that true healing begins
with you. Happiness, empowerment and well-being come from within;
this is the meaning of "enlightenment."
SKB's
teachings reflect on his life's work in the energy arts and the
fusion of Reiki from both East & West. The curriculum has
extended to include, self-mastery skills in the sacred arts of
energy hygiene, esoteric teachings, the healing arts & science,
Chinese Traditional & Western Medicine, self-care, powerful
and sustainable transformational technology, and various other
discipline so that an individual gain the mastery skills necessary
to succeed both personally and professionally. His goal is to
touch as many lives as possible with the message of hope and
wellness through empowerment and wholeness, rather than isolated
and segregated. He does stress the importants of developing the
practice as a spiritual path to enlightenment, or full happiness.
